2024 Beauty Trend Forecast

2024 Beauty Trend Forecast

Lynn Mason, our in house nexpert at has revealed her predictions for 2024 beauty trends, offering tips, tricks and remedies. Having worked at Mavala for 15 years, and being the go-to voice for all things trend wise, we are always one step ahead of the curve when it comes to colour trends.

Nails

Lynn says “Thanks to TikTok, celebrity nail influencers and a huge growth in nail fashion, nail colour trends have such a high turnaround, with something new trending on a weekly basis! The beauty of using traditional nail polish is the changeability, so you can stay on top of trends without having to wait every 6 weeks for professional removal”. She goes on to say; “healthy nails have been really trendy for the last couple of years, with the ‘clean girl aesthetic’ and rise in Gen Z’s love of all things simple and accessible. Mavala products give consumers the ability to have naturally strong and healthy nails, plus the colour choices to always be on top of the trends”

Pantone Colour of the Year

“It isn’t the trending colour of the year if it hasn’t been decided by colour experts Pantone. For 2024, the selected shade is Peach Fuzz! Pantone describes Peach Fuzz as a shade that captures our desire to nurture ourselves and others. It’s a velvety gentle peach tone whose all-embracing spirit enriches mind, body, and soul. Cookies from the Digital Art collection is a perfect match, this subtle and soft shade seamlessly complements the Peach Fuzz shade and is set to be the colour of 2024!

Chrome Nails

Leading on from the famous ‘glazed’ doughnut trend, 2024 promises a continuation of the trend but in a more obvious way. Celebrities such as Vanessa Hudgens have recently been sporting chromed nails, with a full-on metallic twist. Collections such as Mavala’s Pretty Rebel collection offers a range of different shades. Go for Pretty Copper to recreate Vanessa’s look, or more traditional shades such as Gold or Silver.

Timeless shades

With a focus on sustainability and the need for things to last due to the cost of living, timeless, staple shades are set to trend due to their ability to stay relevant.  Defined as being ‘not affected by the passage of time or changes in fashion’ classic colours such as rich reds, modern greys and earthy tones will be shades we come back to time and time again, due to them being transferable and suiting all skin tones, and always looking on trend.

At the start of 2024, Mavala will be launching its very own ‘Timeless nail collection’ which features shades just as this. Set to work in the future as well as suiting the here and now.

Eye brow extensions

Following a rise in popularity of eye lash extensions, its reported that eyebrow extensions will be the next hair area to get some enhancement in 2024. With the cost-of-living crisis continuing to be an issue for many, adding another appointment to an already long list of maintenance appointments might be tricky. Mavala’s eyebrow and eye lash Serum Double Lash is one of the brands oldest products, and helps hair grow thicker, stronger and as a result longer. Applied daily to lashes and brows helps stimulate healthy growth, as well as better condition meaning they stay around for longer. For just £18.50 this is a much cheaper alternative to extensions whether its lashes or brows.

Cherry Cola Lips

Following the year of ‘Barbie-pink’, 2024 is looking a little more sultry, with deep reds and berry tones coming up on top. One colour that has been coming up the ranks is Cherry Mocha, a deep red brown that works on both the lips and eyes.

In 2024, Mavala is revamping its entire lipstick collection, bringing Mavala’s caring lipsticks into a stylish new look, as well as also now providing a plumping action.  Shades like ‘Big Ben’ are set to be bang on trend, and paired with similar nail shades, it’s a match made in heaven.

Coming in 2024

Concealer Lips

Whilst concealer lips feels like something we left in the 00’s, its managed to make its way back but with a less cakey and drying upgrade. Leaning in to the #cleangirl aesthetic, ‘no make up makeup’ is here to stay, and with it a pale wash of colour on the lips resembling the concealer look. Launching in 2024, Mavala’s new range of foundation and concealers will be the perfect way to seamlessly blend this trend with understated lips and flawless skin. Start with a moisturising lip balm and then pat the concealer over the lips, finishing with a gloss to lock in the moisture and colour.
