Mavala UK Proudly Supports CoppaFeel! for Pink October
We are launching an International Power of Pink campaign this October, for Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2022. The campaign is to help support breast cancer charities across ten countries; honouring the strength of people who have an experience of breast cancer and helping to raise awareness around the disease. In the UK, we will be proudly supporting UK breast cancer awareness charity, CoppaFeel! for the second year running.
The Power of Pink campaign will include four special products. All of which will help the wearer feel amazing, whether or not they are going through treatment for cancer. The collection includes; a limited edition Power of Pink Mini Colour nail polish (RRP: £6.20), Candy Tinted Lip Balm (RRP: £7.20), Crayon Lumiere in Prune Flambee (RRP: £11.50) and the Clean and Comfort Micellar Water (RRP: £13.50). In the UK, money will be raised for CoppaFeel! on each purchase of these special products during Pink October – £1 per product will be donated to CoppaFeel! (charity numbers England and Wales 1132366 and Scotland SC045970.)
Kathleen Eymery, Global Pink October fundraising manager and marketing manager of our skincare range explains: “It is estimated 700,000 women die of breast cancer every year worldwide*, so it is with integrity, sincerity and determination that we commit ourselves.” Women have always been at the heart of our ‘care before beauty’ ethos; it was founded more than 60 years ago by a young Swiss woman Madelaine Van Landeghem and is directed today by Mrs. Doris Maute in Geneva, furthermore it used by thousands of beauty lovers around the world every day. Eymery continues; “Mavala has never stopped building a relationship of trust with women and we want to celebrate their strength, their freedom and their commitment.”

Specially created for the Power of Pink campaign, the limited-edition The Power of Pink Mini Colour. This nail polish is enriched with the ingredient Silica to help strengthen nails, prevent brittleness, protects against infections and provides extra care for overall nail health. Our iconic Mini Colours, the miniature gold-topped nail varnishes, were first designed in 1964 and the gold top of the bottle was inspired by the Mary Quant miniskirt. The Candy Tinted Lip Balm is a candyfloss pink, reminiscence of summer fairgrounds. Formulated with shea butter, aloe vera and apricot extract, our Tinted Lip Balms are gentle on the skin and comfortable to wear. Made to care for the skin, the balms nourish, moisturise and protect lips that are stressed and dry. The ultra-fine, non-sticky texture also contains SPF15 which makes it the perfect addition to any make-up bag for protection against UV rays. Clean & Comfort Micellar Water

Care and comfort, something that the skin of patients undergoing cancer treatment particularly needs. For this reason, We have chosen its Clean & Micellar Water to show its commitment to and support of the Breast Cancer Awareness October campaign. The Micellar Water is ultra-gentle on the skin, respectful to the skin’s physiological balance and are dermatologically tested on dry and sensitive skin. The Alpine Softness Micellar Water is composed of 85% Pure Alpine water, dermo-soothing Swiss Mallow flower and ultra-soft micelles used in baby products.
Support That Makes Sense
For more than 60 years, we have supported women in the quest for beauty and wellbeing by offering dermatologically tested caring products adapted to the most sensitive skin types. We wanted to support a charity in the UK that reflected these values. CoppaFeel! was founded in 2009 by Kris Hallenga and her twin sister Maren, after Kris was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer at just 23. As the first breast cancer charity in the UK to solely create awareness amongst young people, CoppaFeel! exists to educate every young person on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, encourage them to check regularly and empower them to seek advice from their doctors if they notice any unusual changes to their chest.
