The Favourite’s favourite shade…

So thrilled to see Olivia Colman take the BAFTA for Best Actress for her role as the eccentric British monarch, Queen Anne, in this year’s costume drama blockbuster The Favourite. And it certainly didn’t go unnoticed that the award-winning British star chose a Mavala classic – Rococo Red – during  an appearance at another awards ceremony – the prestigious Venice Film Festival. Here, too, the critically acclaimed actress scooped up a Best Actress award.

It’s not difficult to see why our vibrant shade of red, which effortlessly balances warm and cool undertones to suit all skin tones, proved to be Olivia’s favourite. Offsetting her exquisite black gown, make-up artist to the stars, Alexis Day, used the stunning crimson shade to provide the perfect finishing touch to her red-carpet ready A-list look.

All in all, a winning combination!
